Honestly, vegetarianism is the way forward for the human race. It is cruel and inhumane to keep animals in cramped cages for their whole lives and then just kill them for food- does that sound civilised to you?
Not only that but meat is basically poison- eating it increases your chances of cancer by 25%, and it contains proteins and chemicals that are bad for your health.
Pets should not be fed meat either. There are hundreds of good plant-based alternatives for them and humans. It sickens me when I see a dog or cat being fed meat- YOU ARE POISONING YOUR PET!

That fact that your family won't accept your choice is disgusting, and just shows most people's unfortunate view of vegans- the true path forward.

To be fair, vegetarian is very acceptable in Asia. Probably because the vegan in US are often portrait as butthurt, well it is probably true, flaming people of murderer. Just like the feminist and Westrobaptist here. People who flame others base on what their opinion usually don't get respected. In Asia, Vegan, Feminist and Christian usually won't force other people to believe their idea, they mostly suggest. Therefore, they are respected like ordinary people.

That's like putting a dead mouse between two slices of bread when asked if there's any meat on the menu.

You know, I'm not a vegetarian but I have a few friends that are. They're not obnoxious about it. One of them is vegetarian because he's a practicing Hindu. And honestly I've taken to cutting back meat in my diet too to just chicken and fish. It's actually cheaper and healthier sometimes to eat vegetables and fruit instead of a burger and fries. That being said, you can still be a vegetarian and eat like **** .

Or you could just bring your own goddamn food if it's that much of a problem for you.

You come to my barbecue and ask for a faggy "Vegan option" you're getting punched in the ******* mouth. I wouldn't go to your vegan brunch and ask "Hey where the bacon at?" because that would make me a ******** . Coming to my place and saying "Oh, I don't eat meat, can you cook something special for me?" It's flat out disrespectful. It's a ******* barbecue, not a ******* hippie music festival. You know the kind of food that's going to be served. If you don't like it, bring your own **** . I'd be fine with tossing your veggie burger on the grill (as long as it doesn't touch the real meat) but don't put the supply part on your host because you were a ******** and failed to prepare. It's ******* rude.

How about everyone just eat what they want and not act like your diet is better than others?

Meat for the win. I've killed my own food before, as humans should do. And have done. We are the alpha species here, so I'm gonna eat what I like.

Plus, I've never heard any other species step up and complain about being eaten. So, it's on them really.

Yeah ok If you are so into meat why not just give up eating plant food altogether?

Not sure how nice it would taste without all the plants that you usually cover it with anyway...

I love to eat meat, and think we should do for a balanced diet. But I can't help understand and sympathise with the logic some of these vegan extremists come out with. If we've evolved to a point were we can synthasise protein, and can survive and live healthily without the need for meat, then some may choose to argue that we have a duty and stewards of this earth to try and leave little of a footprint in our wake. But yeah, I love me some steak, and don't get me wrong, nature is nature, animals kill for food in the wild, we're just another animal on the food chain.

If tigers were smart enough, they'd farm **** too.

Interestingly, Vegetarians actually support animal cruelty.

Vegans do not.

Not the same thing.

The dairy industry rapes mother cows, then kills their babies, to steal the milk, multiple times until the mother cannot produce it anymore, then she is just killed for meat anyway.

The egg industry kills all male chicks upon birth.

Vegetarians are not in the slightest more ethical than a person eating steak.
They are stupid ******* hypocrites.

Vegans go out of their way to minimise the harm they do to all living beings. Very different.

So if a vegetarian is pretending they are moral, tell them to go **** themselves because they pay for cows to be raped, tortured and killed.

Even if a vegan claims they are doing less harm due to their choices. It is because they actually are. Respect it.

I'm a vegetarian, I'm not an ethical vegetarian, I do it for a healthier life-style and because meat is ******* expensive. I do however eat meat at special occasions, such as big family reunions, nice resturaunts etc.

I can respect vegans, hell, even some of my friends are vegans, and that is ******* a-okay, you know why?

Because they're not preachy assholes.
User avatar #67 - derwenac (08/16/2014) [-]
this is politely said " **** you and your vegetarian **** "
User avatar #36 - elyiia (08/16/2014) [-]
Probably gonna get red thumbed to oblivion here, but it seems like a dick response assuming they were civil in how they asked. As long as they aren't preachy there's nothing wrong with being a vegetarian.
