What about secret police?
#199 to #134 - gerfox ONLINE (06/20/2014) [-]
They don't need the Police because all the criminals are either in gulag or the Kremlin.

I am from russia, and I completely agree

putin is bastard ...

I am hope that we get real leader soon, but know it will never happen ...

it is too late for country ... politician are too corrupt ...

But, that is not to say that I still do not love my country ... I simply wish we to have a better leadership and to laws for changing around for good ones instead of to keeping corrupted officials in power ...

A lot of people feel the same way about their countries. On my end it was a joke since I know little about Russian domestic affairs, and I can understand why they act like they do (at least to some extent) in foreign affairs.

It might be a small comfort thinking about the fact that even though you do have some corrupt officials in power, you have much less corrupcy than all other former Soviet states (if I'm not mistaken).

Perhaps ...

I am probably going to get much hate for this, but some times I am missing of the former soviet union

and even though propaganda of the day labeled americans and west as enemies, I never really thought of them as such ... and to this day the very few americns that I have actually met are pretty very col guys ...

Every regime or way of governance has its own pros and cons. I think it was a simple life in the old Soviet union, with little individual responsibility. That's also a con though, since also individual freedom and possibilities was very limited. Also, if your country is in trouble you would probably the first to be as well, and not the ones who were actually responsible. Whilst in a modern society there are always ways for you to manage.

In a standoff such as the US and the Soviet had you will always portray your enemy as "evil" so that people will actually be motivated to fight in event of a conflict.

It's a pleasure to meet you too.

I use a nickname so that I don't have to share my name over the internet. Sorry.

Ahh!

I am the Soviet Samurai! though everyone call me Dmitriy as nickname though for some reason ... even though it is not my name or close to being ... I don't really mind, because I have always had it even since childhood days so I just accepted it
