This is ******* retarded. First of all, there is no good reason that the two should be compared; their shows are not intended to be the same. The whole point of Man vs. Wild was to educate people and show them awesome and crazy ****, not to survive.

Re-tracing your steps to get a camera shot doesn't make you tough, it just makes for tedious work. Sure, there are times when he probably has to retrace some pretty rough terrain, but Bear does **** that is equally as crazy, and though he has people there to help him if he gets hurt, he still does it and has come close on several occasions to getting seriously hurt.

I'm not saying anything against Les, but stop acting like Bear's incompetent in comparison. In fact, just don't compare them, or, more accurately, their shows, when they're not even supposed to be the same.

to be honest i have seen a decent amount of both, and i find that Bear tends to find food and show ways of catching/eating it a lot better, while Les kind of starves himself for a couple of days, knowing there is a village tribe or something nearby but not going to it for a couple days. Bear just moves until he finds someone (pre-planned or not) and eats a healthy amount while he is at it.

Have you ever been so involved in your show that you are willing to almost triple your walking distance to get a good camera shot?
