The same people that say this are the same people getting a degree of Arts, learn where the jobs are and get a degree in any of those fields. Don't just choose the easy degrees, you have to work hard for stuff in life.

i currently work as a supervisor for UPS, and while i can climb the ladder a little eventually it'd be easier and faster and i could go farther if i got a degree, so i'm going to get a masters in business administration and accounting.

if you go to college go for the right reasons, not because you feel that you have to, make your time there count

That is because you are a lazy fat american. Lazy people are generally people with poor work habits and poor personalities. You people just want handouts and don't like doing any work. You spend a disproportionate amount of time talking about evil lazy single welfare moms sucking society dry by collecting food stamps. You are the reason why america has high unemployment rate and a ****** up economy.

in my country more than 50% of people are unemployed , and i cant believe how incompetent you have to be to not be able to find a job after having graduated from a good college in an economically stable country

The problem is, people start associating college as a means to obtain employment, which it is not. College is an institution of higher education, in which you go to gain knowledge and better yourself. A university will never, ever, promise you a job. They will promise you knowledge. What you do with said knowledge is wholly up to you.

I want to be a game developer/programmer/designer, and at first, I wanted to go to an art school like Art Institute and get a degree on gaming, but I keep hearing that getting a degree in art won't help you get a job, so instead, I decided that I should save up money when I get a job to build a very powerful gaming pc and learn to use photoshop, and game/3D animation programs like blender, maya, 3dsmax, etc., and also, once I get my Associate in Arts I'm in a community college so I can transfer to a four year university because I didn't do good enough in high school, , I can transfer and get a degree in computer science, not just so I don't have to worry about jobless, but also learning about computers can benefit my life because computers are what makes things easier to complete tasks, plus I can also become a better game developer/programmer.

I'm getting my MD in psychology so I can be a staff officer for the U.S. Navy. I was tired of my punkass salary and not doing anything important as a military police officer, and I started to get scared of how I was gonna pay the bills after my Post 9/11 G.I. Bill ran out, so I went ahead and commissioned, They're gonna start paying me to go to school here soon. Don't be an unemployed college graduate, quit being a bitch and join the military.
