I went to turn left at an intersection once and hit some black ice and did a 360 and ended up turning the left perfectly and just tore ass outta there. Each driver at the opposite light was looking at me like this.

Rear-ended a guy who slammed on his breaks for a 'rabbit'. Pretty sure he was break-checking me. I had been tailgating him for a couple blocks, but realized that it was a bad idea at midnight, after driving for five hours. Unfortunately, as tired as I was, I didn't realize he slammed on the breaks almost immediately after taking off from a stop sign.
User avatar #153 to #151 - kaitora (05/07/2014) [-]

#154 to #153 - mrbobert (05/07/2014) [-]
You try driving for five hours at 70mph and getting trapped behind a Kia Soul doing just under 20mph in a 25 zone, less than three miles from your house, and tell me you wouldn't be tailgating, even unintentionally.

I was in a daze and backed off when I realized, anyways. I was looking out the window at Christmas lights trying to wake up when he locked them up. Wasn't even tailgating anymore, he was just a massive faggot.

User avatar #105 to #98 - vexaton ONLINE (05/05/2014) [-]
Explain please?
#108 to #105 - brettyht (05/05/2014) [-]
When cars are in drive, the general direction that they move in is forward, with small increments to the left or right creating a change in direction. The reason it moves forward is because the engine produces power to make the car move. It is only effective at certain speeds, though - if it turns too slowly, it can't produce enough power, and if it turns too fast, it can break (as well as using more fuel and creating more noise).

And it can go backwards, so there is that.
User avatar #109 to #108 - vexaton ONLINE (05/05/2014) [-]
Doubting my intelligence, are we? Havin a gigl m8? I meant why did you realize that all of a sudden, and why did that make a difference to the content? "I saw nothing wrong until" indicates that theres something wrong about them going forward
#127 to #109 - anon (05/05/2014) [-]
Because they aren't meant to spin.

User avatar #113 to #109 - brettyht (05/05/2014) [-]
Nah, I copy and pasted a ELI5 post about cars from Reddit. Still guna bash ye fookin ead in, I sware on me mum

And I thought the person was just looking around inside their car with their camera or something, or maybe that they were on some weird vehicle which could revolve. I thought this until the third run through of the .gif, until I realized the whole car was spinning. It made a difference in the content because it changed my initial reaction to what is really happening. And I'm not sure where you got that last part from, but it doesn't indicate a problem with the car going forward. In fact, it was meant to imply the exact opposite.

1st: Get off of funnyjunk!

Jokes aside, find something you love and do it! If you don't know what it is or how you can achieve it, then just get as good a job as you can, just to earn cash and show you're not a complete lay about, you'll figure out the rest on the way. Just remember you can always get a job in footlocker or something and look at/apply for things elsewhere.

i shall give a little advice, volunteer and try to picture the jobs you would be good at and what you went to school for.
With experience from volunteering (which gets you out of your house) you can also likely get a job easier also in an interview seem interested in the company look into it and you can usually get the job.
On motivating yourself set goals start the bar low and raise it reward yourself get your gf involved.
Hopefully that all helps

work for an airline decent pay, good benefits, fly for free, flexible schedule fly for free, get cultured and find out what you want to do with your life and where you want to do it.... your GF can fly for free as well (she wont be on your ass about you doing anything when shes doing the same on a beach in fiji) and once you figure out what you want to do, you can keep the airline job, work 8 hours a week and give away the rest of your shift just so you can keep your benefits and focus on your career

Sometimes we reach a point where we just don't really care about work or college anymore. Trust me, you're not alone. I'm 21 and while I do work and go to school, I always feel like doing nothing. The fast that you're willing to change it though is a good start.

I think the right cure for you is to find something that you're passionate about! If you're majoring in something just for a better paying job, DON'T. Do what you love, something that you wouldn't mind doing for free. Same thing with a job. Ask around to see who's hiring. If you can't get a job somewhere nice, just settle for a job wherever.

I seriously think though if you do something you like, you'll find you have so much more energy.
User avatar #121 to #5 - assdoreponyfucker ONLINE (05/05/2014) [-]
You probably had a major or some type of interest you studied about in college, look up careers in that field. Hell if you like video games look into jobs in that. Internships may sound like a waste of time but it gives you experience before you even start working. Honestly, if you're just going to half-ass your 20s away, work at a generic place to pay the bills. But pursue a career, always
User avatar #36 to #5 - mrgoodlove (05/05/2014) [-]
It's okay dude, just get a job wherever you can for now and make some money until you figure out what you really want to do. If you get a job at a place with people around your age and they're chill, the level of your activities should go up naturally and you'll become more social. This is just my opinion on how it'd work. I'm 21 (turning 22 in a couple months) and haven't had a job since 12th grade which was at a law firm. Anyway, good luck on your journey.
User avatar #49 to #5 - curveball (05/05/2014) [-]
Apply for any and all part time jobs you can find. Even if they're low paying and not related to your chosen field, they can help make ends meet and they give you work experience. If you show your bosses that you're a hard and dedicated worker, you can use them as a reference who will testify to your work ethic (the most important thing I've learned about employers is that they value work ethic over everything else; no one gives a **** about how many expensive pieces of paper you have if you're not going to make them any money). Same goes for volunteer work. It was already mentioned, but interships are a really good way to gain experience in your field; I suggested part time jobs because at least that way you make some money (minimum wage is better than no wage at all).

I was in the same boat until a few months ago, but I found a full time job in my field. **** took me two years, but it's paying off (literally and figuratively). The most important things to do are not give up, and don't turn down any opportunity that comes your way.
#158 to #49 - britrael (09/02/2014) [-]
hey man sorry for such a ridiculously late reply but i cant get a job even in min wage ones (no drivers license screws me up a bit) were u unemployed for 2 years??? been a long time for me now and it just gets worse, u think just volunteering would be good??
User avatar #159 to #158 - curveball (09/02/2014) [-]
Volunteering is always good; even if you don't get paid, you gain experience (and if you're good enough, contacts for your resume). I was unemployed for the first couple of months, but after 3 months I went to college (tech school if you're American) for two years; however, I still had to line up that job on my own, and that took me about 6 months to do. Don't wait until you're out of school to start looking for work. I got my diploma this April (literally like 3 weeks before my first post). I had a job lined up in the electrical trade since November. My advice is;
Get your drivers license
Start volunteering/find a part time job (anywhere, even if it's not related to your desired field, it's a good way to fill gaps on your resume)
(If you plan on going to university): Go to night school and get any high school credits you're missing (I'm doing this starting at the end of September, in case I want to go to university down the road).
If you're not sure about your chosen field, try doing a 2 year diploma first. You'll learn a lot, build valuable study habits, and it's a hell of a lot cheaper than a 4 year degree if you find it's not what you're interested in.

Sorry you're hearing back from an anon, deleted account a long time ago for reasons. bad roll

Anyway, what did you go to school for? What are your strengths? Your GF needs to chill because college is ****** hard work if you're actually putting an effort into it.That being said any outstanding effort like making The Dean's list may help you get some kind of work.

If you're frozen in place with anxiety like most twenty something's these days, relax. It is scary as hell going out there with little stand on. But you'll feel better for trying. Be more active by starting with volunteer work or whatever if you have to.
If you plan on living together (with your gf) it is possible to get by two part time jobs if you spend and save wisely.

Good luck to you man, I'm sure you'll find your way.
