Every healthy human being has eyes pointing inward most of the time, if not all the time.

Please see attached image.

nah but I get it. Big eyes, slightly pointing in, are waay cuter than otherwise. Just when I realised how it was I couldn't stop seeing it and it bugged me

>tumblr feminist.
What does this have to do with feminism? I mean, I know tumblr is filled with feminists, but there's nothing feminist related in this content.

Has FJ really become this euphoric now? Anything from tumblr is now feminist related?

I think what this post was trying but fail to point out is earlier on that thread there were a couple of tumblr feminist ranting about how Disney animations like frozen give girls a unrealistic expectation of beauty and that frozen is ableist or sizeist or whatever other ******* word they invented.

Nah, there was something about how women in disney are not individuals enough, just more of the same, how the "obviously male" animators didn't consider women important enough to put time and effort into fleshing them out and giving them more identifying physical characteristics. Sort of an offshoot of the whole tumblr whinefest about how the Frozen characters are white when they're Sami, which was based entirely on tumbrlinas' imagination and not on what actual Samis look like.

ignoring the "conform to a single beaty standard" ********, it was a visually weak movie. if you look at any piece of scenery, character or dodad, there is no prominent art style that is unique to frozen. look at visually good animated movies, like most pixar movies madagaskar or whatever, and you can oftentimes tell which universe it is from.

compare the faces of anna & elsa, with that of rapunzel from tangled. not exactly a big difference, is it?

Yeah, but look at the guys in similar movies. Ralph and Fix it Felix are from the same place, and they are drastically different. Women just don't have the same variance that men do design wise in Disney films.

To be fair, Disney is actually notoriously bad about making women look the same. Just talking design wise, Disney women from their origin have all looked ridiculously similar. If you look at the prototypical Disney men, they all have drastically distorted noses, foreheads, chins, necks, and pretty much any other feature you can think of. If you robbed them of their outfit designs and hair, you could pick out almost every single one out of a line up. If you did the same thing for the women, and drew all their faces without hair or clothes, you could pick out Mulan, Pocahontas, and not much else, and this is even more true for the 3D women.

And I know everyone is tired of the "women aren't represented well enough in media thing", but its actually pretty applicable in animation, because its a huge problem in Disney. The women, when designed and animated, are always supposed to look beautiful, in every frame. This makes it impossible to use some of the most basic tools in an animator's arsenal, like squash and stretch. You know those silly stillframes from Disney movies that show characters in ridiculous poses like pic related? You need those to make a character move in a charismatic and interesting fashion, but Disney doesn't use those for women very often, so the animation on them is much more dry and uninteresting. That is just about the only regard by which Dreamworks has Disney beat.

It's mostly how pretty they are - the defining flaws that normally characterise people are kept to a minimum on their faces. Big eyes, basic mouth and nose not too big or small or high or too low etc.
The main character is always the most attractive -whether male or female.
