You weren't right in that argument at all. In fact, some of the things you said were either wrong, or just weren't researched enough

Arguing on the Internet is like being in the special Olympics, even if you win you're still retarded.

I understand your opinion, but I do disagree, Ill get to my points in a second.
But to start with, when writing a essay, or anything opinion related for that matter, try to avoid using things like " ******* Retard" and generalizing all of humanity. That is, if you want to be taken seriously and have a logical debate. Take a step back and look at the situation, understand your opinion, but also try to see it from their point of view. Proceed to state your opinion gently, and back it up. Do not insult your audience, as that will immediately throw them into a defensive position.
Now, my opinion on the matter of guns and gun laws. I am a U.S. citizen, who supports the second amendment. It is common for people to believe that the reason we hold so closely to our weapons, is not to defend ourselves from other people who wish to do us harm (it can be used as such) but to defend ourselves from tyrant. Look at our history, we come from "tyrannical" rule, we revolted and won our liberties and freedoms. If our government ever becomes tyrannical, we can return fight for our freedoms and liberties again. Now the system of acquiring a gun can due with a few changes, but the right to bear arms is not just an amendment, but part of the Bill of Rights, which I put into the same category as the Rights of Man.

And finally, I respect you for holding to your opinion, and wanting to have a logical debate is perfectly reasonable, (on the internet may not be the best place considering the common attitude) just try to be a bit more diplomatic. Everything one has something to learn, treat every one as an equal.
I am smrt cuz I no that I no knothing.

Without putting my opinion into the gun debate, I read the conversation between you and the anon. It seemed like you were the close-minded one. You started off a little strong in my opinion but when he rebutted, you went ******** crazy. You wouldn't research anything on it, you just assumed everything he said was wrong. If you put your opinion out there, no matter how passionate you are about said opinion, prepare for people to in turn put out their opinion. Don't get mad at them for doing so. Especially since you did so first.

tl:dr don't talk on the internet

... but canadians can have guns... not just hunting rifles. not trying to flame with you or anything, but bro, it's the internet. expect flame wars and different opinions. If you share your opinion, you can't be surprised when someone shares theirs and disagree. regardless of your opinion, at the end of the day, an argument over the internet is hardly going to change someone's views on an important matter. It's pointless anyways, and you should seldom expect something good to come out of it. Its just the internet. have a nice day, my friend.
