Everyone is so anti Tony Abbot, funny how he still got elected...

Anyway, his policy is: remove all the **** that Labor did wrong and go back to what worked, then start fresh.
I like that policy.
(And if you got your info about him from Labor's desperate adds, I'm sorry for you)
User avatar #59 - threeeighteen (09/09/2013) [-]
I voted for the L"N"P, I put them as second lowest, below Labor and above the Greens.
#55 - wanicochil (09/09/2013) [-]
I think Liberal will be good for us, getting past how socially retarded Abbot is, he isn't the be all or end all of Australia. We need Liberal in to get this country back on track and make the hard decisions that labor was just putting off over and over again

Being a PM is overrated anyway, he has no extra power in parliament, all he really is, is head to foreign relations and gets a bit more money

I have but one thing to say to you as a fellow internet user, NBN.
User avatar #57 to #56 - wanicochil (09/09/2013) [-]
It'll be financially retarded for him to stop the project now

He also doesn't make the decision by himself to stop it, even if he thinks of trying it, everyone will slap him and say "What the **** are you doing?"

Besides, there are much more important issues currently then the NBN

#58 to #57 - slias (09/09/2013) [-]
The NBN is a fairly big issue for the future of this country, and with how large of a majority the Liberal party managed to win by I'm not sure if anyone would stop him.

Given how much everybody seems to hate Obama right now, you'd think that'd be a good thing.

Instead of electing possibly the smartest businessman to ever run for president, we elected a guy who literally decided to buy cars and destroy them in an attempt to improve the economy.

Tony Abbott's trying to ban porn, and is switching FTTH to FTTN, which will put us even further behind other countries, and essentially make us a second world country.

With his other plans that are yet to come, including those he didn't list, I can see Australia becoming a slightly more advanced 3rd world country within the next 3 years..

As I've told everyone who's complained so far: You're the ********* who voted for him. You knew what you were signing on for. Now deal with your next 3 - 4 years of hell.

I voted Greens. I am allowed to complain.
User avatar #60 to #50 - splendiddust (09/09/2013) [-]
you voted greens. They just want to expand national parks and make it so you can fish in almost nowhere. why would you do such a thing
User avatar #65 to #60 - egosumproxi ONLINE (09/09/2013) [-]
Because they weren't led by Abbot...
User avatar #69 to #65 - Apex (09/10/2013) [-]

I miss the old republican ideals and politicians.
Roosevelt, Eisenhower, even Lincoln.
The Republicans were even started by anti-slavery activists, fancy that. Whilst I'm an anarchist I felt that these men did great work for their country. What was so great about them was that they did their job first, then thought about their religion.
Now a days the republicans are like Muslims, they seriously can't help but bring religion into every aspect of life, nor being able to take a joke.
Romney was especially a peculiar one, they say he had a great sense of humor, but it seems to me like grandpa humor. Making out dated jokes that could even be interpreted as racist (He was with a group of black kids, and said "who let dogs out? Who, who who? Now, I can see the merit of this joke, but I doubt anybody opposing him politically wouldn't use that to their advantage.)

Mitt Romney and the Infinite Sadness You elected a bland, wealthy, socially-awkward moderate with vague political stances?
That doesn't sound terrible...

i often wonder how things would have been if Mitt Romney had been elected... even John McCain i think would have been less bad...

i imagine that with the bombings and shootings, instead of puching more gun control theyd push for more school and public security, gay marriage would be outlawed. the people who became democratic after obamas first election would have turned republican instead. and the world would have moved on.

I wish for more republican power

Marriage is for a man and a woman and that's that. Call it something else (Domestic Partnership) and don't sully the sanctity of what families were built upon.

Marriage predates history.

Marriage is PREHISTORIC.

It's only real purpose was to validate their children, and guess who cant make babies?
