I turned 37 this year. I have a good job, pay taxes, pay my bills. I bitch about politicians, goverment policies, and taxes. I'm fairly well thought of in a number of circles both personal and profesional. I like to believe that I have reached the point in my life of being considered "grown folk"
I have a very nice routine that I follow every day of the work week. No matter if I get home at five, work late till 10, or get to sneak out early at 2.. I come in the door. Get undressed in my bedroom, grab my iPad and head to the bathroom. Once I have completed my "business" I choose a station on Slacker radio, put the iPad on the window sill and hop in the shower while jamming out to what ever music I felt like that particular day.
Today it was country. I do love me some fast and loud country. I was singing along, washing my hair, doing a little dance.. Life was good. A new song came on. It was "Tall Grass" by a band called The Lacs. The very first line of the song is "I was walking through the tall grass, on my way to the swimming hole"
Without a second thought.. I opened my mouth and hollered to the little man singing inside of my iPad " ****
man be Careful!! There's wild Pokemen in the tall grass"
Then I stood there for a couple minutes..
I don't know if I should be amused or ashamed...
