This theory always bothered me. Not because I doubt it's legitimacy, but it sounds horrible. Imagine being able to travel in time. You go back, change something you didn't like, and you return. The future is now changed, but hopefully your family/friends are still there, but they're not really your family and friends. No matter how similar they may be, even to an atomic level, they are a different family.

They are another version of your family. This means that it is possible that your original family is without the real you, because, well, the timeline changed and you exist here now.

Science is scary, mang.
