no but he was moved from boarding school to boarding school as a child, he used to get into a lot of fights and eventually the teachers made bets on them

ease into the relationship.

baby steps, he small things will count the biggest

if that doesn't work you can always call your bro to talk some sense into him

My dad did less crap to me and my mom and I still hate him.Only reason I talk to him over the phone is because my mom asks me to because he occasionally sends us money and my mom's wage is complete crap so we kinda need it.

I still call him by his name when not speaking to him directly.

My mom told me, Back when my dad was a drunk ( I was around 3) He was about to hit her, then me and my brother tried to hit him with a bat ( Plastic). I don't know if it actually happened. He stopped drinking alcohol a long time ago and is now a better father.

My dad was similar with how he treated me, and i never understood why. It's up to you if you really want to build a relationship with him, if it's worth it, if he really has changed, etc. Keep in mind he's your dad, and he's the only one you'll ever have, but don't let that make you feel like you've got to have a relationship with him. I've not spoken to mine in 2 years and I feel better for it, but there are times I wish I could.
TL;DR Dads can be complicated

I don't care, at all. At least most of these feel bad for me posts have a partially interesting story at the very least.
