Two worlds collide! One film was Anime, the other was Live Action. As everyone knows Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods is an snimated theatrical film that is the first DBZ film to be considered canon. Then of course we had Dragon Ball Evolution and that film did horribly in the american box office (though I do defend this film and of course consider it a guilty pleasure). Now, I am happily here to say that like the live action Rurouni Kenshin film, Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods in its first two days in the Japanese box office has earned 7 million dollars! An incredible feat, especially since 20th Century Fox is distributing the film, which is ironic considering Evolution was a huge failure.
The film poster shows Extremely Saiyan Goku fighting a violet cat-like human like putting on Egyptian-looking garb, with a Kaioshin-looking character having a scepter and bathed in mild sailing in the qualifications. Mr. The devil, Mr. Buu, Videl, the shrunken Pilaf Group, Extremely Saiyan Goten, Extremely Saiyan Gohan, Extremely Saiyan Vegeta, Extremely Saiyan Trunks, Bulma, Piccolo, Tien Shinhan, Krillin, Yamcha and Puar also appear on the film poster.
