It was a private school. Run by priests. Although I'm not exactly thrilled that i was only home for like 3 hours a day (excluding sleep), i wouldn't change it for anything.

Ok man, I thought when I read it that maybe you and I went to the same high school. But now there is like a 1 in 3 chance we went to the same school.

Oh. You made it sound like you were traveling out of Chicago and then back into Chicago every day. You were a Caravan. I was a Friar.

That's fine, i've had uncles go there. They aren't as bad as Rita. **** Rita.

I've had uncles go there too. Actually every male in my family has gone to Fenwick, and females since it went co-ed. I must say Rita sucks, but my eternal hatred shall rest with Ignatius, second place goes to Loyola.

******* ignatius. But yeah, at Carmel we got a thing about hating Rita. It's just. We kinda have to. I just ******* hate them.

Oh yah, I figured that. It makes sense too. We hate Ignatius because we rival academically I guess. We aren't any good at cool sports, just water polo, swimming, and girls basketball, so yah. Plus apparently Dominicans and Jesuits don't get along.

I forgot you guys are co-ed. That must be... dandy.

Haha that it is. Co-Ed since '96. My sister was in one of the first classes of girls. You don't even have it Brother Rice style with McCauley across the street do you?

********* . I don't even think we have a sister school.
#162 to #160 - trickytrickster (07/19/2013) [-]
No I don't think you do. Ours used to be Trinity, and we almost combined into one school, but then we said **** you and started accepting girls. We were gonna rebuild a brand new school, but we wanted to call it Fenwick and keep all our teachers lol.

When I went to school it was at least 16 miles from where I lived, because I live in a rual area

Well, you could live far away from a city, in rural areas... or it could be a special school (as in, a magnet program of some sort, I doubt if he was 'special' he would be sent that far away unsupervised.)
User avatar #16 to #15 - WillWalrus (07/16/2013) [-]
...magnet program?
and could you really live so far away that you require two trains every day back and forth?
User avatar #21 to #16 - Hreidmar ONLINE (07/16/2013) [-]
Magnet program is a school program which (in theory) offers a better education for brighter students. They're usually placed in poor area schools to boost performance (again in theory.) They're not too common, and it's not unusual for students to travel far to get to them.

And yes, you could. It's not likely, but possible. I taught a class in which one student actually traveled almost 100 miles to get to the school.
