So today, I was told that I may well need anti-psychotics to accompany my anti-depressants. Which isn't easy, being told you're potentially more nuts than you originally thought.
However, what was even more difficult to accept, was my mum's reaction when I told her.
It was something like this;
Me: So we (my doctor and I) talked and she's given me some information to look over.
Mum: What kind of pills are we talking?
Me: On a low dose, they're 'mood managers' and on a high dose, anti-psychotics.
Me: I'm sorry if you don't believe me but that's just how it is.
Mum: No I don't believe you and can you imagine how difficult it is for me to hear that my daughter might have to take ******* anti-psychotics?! I don't like it!
So as I hope you can appreciate, this is more about me than it is about her and her image, so FJ, I am pissed off and thought you'd best understand my side.
Good day to you all internet junkies!
