It's the same concept as Gary's mod. They give you the core, you build on top of it. Therefore you have whatever you want. And I'm sure they're implementing techniques such as visual, node-based scripting to allow more people to make (stable) mods for the community.

What I get from it is that if you can create the mod, you can play it in this. If not anything, then at least a lot of things. I mean, just with the superpower stuff would be amazing, I'd buy it just for that.

It's not really ******** if the devs are to be believed, but basically the game is made to be easy to mod and share, so while you can't do anything straight away, it should be possible eventually. I think.

What about Garry's Mod?

It's extremely easy to mod and share.
Also, it's PC exclusive, too. Just like Project Awakened...

Garry's Mod is awesome, though I'd say it looks like this will be more of a game, I've always seen Garry's Mod as more of an extended toybox myself

What makes Project Awakened more of a game than Garry's Mod?
They're essentially the same thing, however Gmod will have more freedom with creation.

Gary's Mod is alright, but I see the potential for this project to be more than what Gmod could, Gmod always felt to me like just a mod, no real gameplay options which define your character and no story, it lacks the structure of a real and there's no character development.

Also Gary's Mod in my opinion is just Halo Forge with physics and more props. You wouldn't be able to create your own story and customize your character as easy as in Project Awakened.

I'm not here to argue, but if project awakened is what I think it is, you'll be able to essentially make levels with goals, with you playing as a different character or superhero or whatever in whatever place you can make. Hell, I might even be thinking about another game right now

Well what if i want to play as a midget transexual prostitue from planet Xenon who rides on floating pink nipples that spew eyeballs and sing the North Korean national anthem?

I would say the character design wouldn't be too hard. Floating isn't particularly tricky, and such audio would be easily looped.
A couple days of modding and it's done.

right but whats to stop some one modding in say a nuclear bomb attack that can destroy and entire city in 1 second. now if you say oh but they will have something that can stop that then the game isnt anything and isnt waht ever you want.

The game is single player, so it should be possible to do that I suppose, would take the fun out of it, but as far as I know that could work

That means you can choose to play with others I'd guess, so if you choose to play with someone who decides to nuke your game, they could mess up your game. I'm no expert on this game, just seen a few things, so I may be wrong here.

in no way am i dissin the game but im just not wantin anyone to get their hopes up just cause the programming difficulties in creating a game that is truely customizable is near impossible

Oh, I know, being unsure of something that sounds too good to be true isn't really a bad thing, all I'm doing is saying what I believe they're doing with the game
