for only 500k more than the release price they'll make the entire thing in the engine that their previous videos was all about and which the entire game hinges on to work. also they'll get rid of the 400k and 450k mark items... why the **** do they need an extra 100k to make it compatiable with ******* linux and mac.
I don't like the idea of the big companies kick starting their projects, it's like kick starting has moved from a way for indie developers to find the funds needed to make more grandiose games to a way for big companies to make games without taking any risks to themselves. it feels ************ like I'm paying to sign a survey saying yes I will pay to play this game.

they're not a big company, that's why.

I was talking about a game like this with my friend and it can be real?? I've always wanted to face a huge group of soldiers and wipe them out with some crazy powers that I chose. Infamous is probably the closest thing i've gotten by feeling powerful but not to extreme levels.

I have wanted something like this since forever. I can't believe it could become real. I want it to do so.

I'm still waiting for either Avatar: The Last Airbender/Korra kinect game where you use movements to bend the elements or a Avatar: The Last Airbender/Korra MMORPG game

It is going to suck, IMO. The tech cant handle a good open game yet.
Wait untill we have VR to waste time on a game like this.

Wait......if this game is released, couldn't you make an amazing movie with this? What's gonna stop you?! I could make a movie where Bill from l4d comes back alive! Or make HUE HUE a living superhero or troll!! You would be able to do anything!

...This will be a PC exclusive won't it?

**** my bad. That was another game they worked on, Project Hero (then canceled), but that what the game that inspired them to start this.

if you look at the trailer, you can see that it's using a playstation controller. Could be PC, but there's some hope.
User avatar #316 - kyoutu (04/06/2013) [-]
Hmm, Skeptical on just how much you'll be able to modify this with the tools they support considering they never actually showed up the interface to do this.

I can see it being just a series of drop menus and you select weapons and powers that you want.

Watch the video and look at the Atari game in the background.

Likely the worst video game ever made that bombed harder than any game ever released.

Y'know, I have a piece of **** pc that has trouble with LoL, Minecraft, and TF2 on their lowest resolutions, and whenever I see pc only games it tends to make me mad because there's no way I'm gonna buy a whole new pc just to play 1 or 2 games. Today, that statement has been made false. I would buy 10 pc's if that meant I'd be able to play this Incredibly awesome looking game. I'm short on money at the moment, but I intend to help make this masterpiece as much as I can. Thank you very much for bringing this to my attention good sir. Have a thumb and favorite. You earned it.

TL;DR: This game is awesome. DONATE

And when they just shrug and pocket the money they've earned again what are you going to do
#306 - pwincesswoona (04/06/2013) [-]
a game where you can do whatever you can think of and be whatever you want to be?

i smell copyright infringement.

Garry's Mod isn't even close to this. Garry's Mod is about sandbox building and random **** . Project Awakened is RPG focused. Just because they both use the term "sandbox" doesn't mean it's the same game.
User avatar #311 to #307 - pwincesswoona (04/06/2013) [-]
>not even close
>both use the term sandbox

seriously though, its just what it reminded me of and i felt like sharing the thought.
User avatar #315 to #311 - infensive (04/06/2013) [-]
If you were going to call it out for being like a game that's already been made, you should have gone for something like APB or Saints Row, not Garry's Mod.

My goddamn daily hobby is lua coding for Gmod, I know the game is nothing like what these Devs are trying to make.
User avatar #305 - biggrand (04/06/2013) [-]
Didn't the last game, dark- something, try this and then it didnt work because players didnt know what to do with freedom? It's a neat concept, but unless players have some sort of direction, even if player made, this may be chaos, people hanging out at the spawn with weapons they beefed out. You give a person a warehouse full of tools but never tell him what to make and he';ll probably make a stool and then leave to something that will tell him or her what to do.

I'm not saying this will fail, but this isnt the first thing doing this whole concept.
