>Implying that France actually has a habity of surrendering, and they didn't just surrender in WWII because they had no possibility of winning, and continuing a lost war would just be meaningless slaugther, and since America at that time sat on their fat asses and didn't help out, and Britain were busy and the USSR didn't care about France, France couldn't really get any help.

Poland lasted one day less than France. Poland did a cavalry charge. With horses. Against tanks. France had better tanks than the Nazis. Need I say more?

French might have had more tanks and more advanced tanks. But they didn't have the tactics that the Germans utilized, nor did they have radio equipment like the Germans did, so it was hard to coordinate. And the Frenchies distributed their tanks around the army instead of having dedicated tank divisions. This lead to their defeat as apparently pincer movements, encircling and lightning warfare is far more effective then just having a big frontline and keeping the enemy at bay

In season 4 of Spacecenter Babylon 5 the new boss of Garibaldi told him that France surrendered in the year 2012. So... they just missed the right date by only one year.

The korean war never actually ended just a ceasefire, technically they've been at war since the 50s.
