Oh, and for the record

Not to be an asshole here, but...All I'm saying is that I have never met a person who is both
1. Atheist
2. Not arrogant about it

(This is actually a lie, I have, I just wanted to try my hand at a ****** post designed to piss people off)
User avatar #41 - captainfuckitall (03/28/2013) [-]

Me, but not because I hate them its more about what they cant give us a gay couple wont have children and although you can say that sometimes a heterosexual marriage wont have children either its not a 100% true while a gay marriage will never have children of their own. you can say that thats good because of the population and stuff but it wont look as well when the human population goes dangerously small. It`s not really about the homosexuals it`s more about humans in general I mean the more money and spare time they have the more twisted and ****** up their hobbies are (not all of the time) and its common to see that wealthy people don't have large families. I dont mind homosexuales its just that homosexuality is part of this decaying society but i guess in the end humans had it coming ******* humans man.

First of all, Marriage has nothing to do with having children. People can have children without being married so there goes that argument. Secondly; all over the world there are a lot of children in foster homes who desperately want loving parents. gay couples can and do provide that, so there goes another one of your arguments that they can't do something for humanity regarding children.
Finally; gay people getting married does -not- somehow alter how many people are gay and how many people aren't. It wont affect the population at all. If gay people were married or not, then they still can't have kids with each other. Therefore you third and final argument is ******** as well.

I, actually have. He was a charming gay guy out with his partner for is partners birthday. he believed that a wedding was between a man and a woman, and he was a staunch atheist. I think like anything its down to the people in question. we shouldn't rally against gay weddings, but at the same time, we shouldn't advocate it so strongly it's on the point of propaganda. it should be an option, but offered without parade and pomp.

Have you met any religious people for gay marriage? Because I'm a catholic who really is fine with it. I don't see why it's so damn important for them but **** it, let 'em get married.

I'm Catholic (not by choice) and I support gay marriage.

Now that I have figured out what I actually know from learning in school, scientific proof is legitimate and evolution makes perfect sense.

I'm not religious and I'm against gay marriage.

gay marriage is simply an edgy thing, marriage is correlated to religion, gays are not accepted by it, thus them marrying is like ******** on the whole foundations of religion.

You can't just **** on peoples belief's like that, fictional as they may be.
User avatar #14 to #13 - oneguy (03/27/2013) [-]
The problem is one of semantics, as is so often the case. For you see in today's society the word marriage has more than one meaning. There is the religious marriage, which you are describing, but there is also the civil marriage, which is a marriage of the state. Very few gays want a religious marriage, yet that is what everyone is fighting to protect.

who the **** cares. If gay people get hitched its not going to be the end of the world, and it is not going to make that big of an impact if they... divorce will go thru the roof because now more people can do it.. it is not the thing that will ruin marriage, celebrity's who do it for no reason, and break up after 72 hours will
User avatar #48 - hirollin (03/28/2013) [-]
Met quite a few myself, their reasoning was pretty much just economic. Very interesting though.
#45 - applescryatnight (03/28/2013) [-]
im only against roman catholic gay marriage.
but if they want to get married in a non religious way,
or in a religion that accepts homosex,
then go ahead, why does it concern me?
#23 - anonymous (03/27/2013) [+] (1 reply)
i dont see why it's just religious people that are hating on hays, i'm not very religious, but i don't need a god and a book to tell me 2 men aren't supposed to be together. You don't need religion to tell you this, it's just obvious, simple science and nature. They cannot reproduce, and for the sake of the species it's not essential in any way and they cannot breed. That's just a scientific view on the topic, but there are surely more moral reasons to either agree or disagree as well
User avatar #25 to #23 - Lambda (03/27/2013) [-]
You say that it's "not essential in any way". And yet here you are on a site that does nothing but display stupid pictures for us to laugh at and waste time.
User avatar #20 - ForReal (03/27/2013) [-]
My grandma is more catholic than the last 17 popes. Her view on gay marriage is, "If they want to get married let them. It's not up to anyone else but yourself to choose who you want to marry."

User avatar #8 to #5 - cousin ONLINE (03/27/2013) [-]
I don't see why you should get red thumbs, just an opinion. Albeit I disagree but whatever.
User avatar #1 - nevergetsdubs ONLINE (03/27/2013) [-]
Now that I think about it yea....
every person who's ever said to me they're against gay marriage has afterwards walked away and i hear them say in a different conversation " **** THE MUSLIM" or "ABORTION IS MURDER"
these tend to intermatch a lot
