I have posted this twice and when I deleted my account, it deleted the content as well. How do I delete my account safely?
friend has **** life.
makes her pull hair out
wants to stop
cant get proffesional help
Hey Funnyjunk, OP here.
My friend has a huge problem and I need your help.
My friend (aged 18) comes from an unfortunate background despite living in one of the richest towns in England.
Her family are abusive and never pay attention to her.
She has a brother (aged 16/17) with severe untreatable epilepsy, meaning every day is depressing for her as she helplessly watches her brother have seizures (approx. one a day) that cause him pain and slowly kills off his brain piece-by-piece. The epilepsy has caused him to become mentally retarded (its an official term, I'm not taking the piss).
Her family ignore her to be constantly watchful of her brother, who, with seizures, could easily be killed if near open water/traffic/sharp objects.
Also, with a father from a strict Islamic upbringing, she, as a woman, isn't allowed out with her friends, nor is she allowed a boyfriend.
These three factors have always made her short-tempered and moody, meaning that she often gets incredibly angry with her friends, meaning she falls out with them a lot, meaning they aren't there for her when she's at her worst.
She's currently having a rough time with her boyfriend, on top of keeping him a secret and rarely being able to see him.
Because she has teeth like God's shoeshine, she has stress issues.
When she is at her lowest point, she pulls her hair out (its a condition, she isn't a psycho), leaving patches removed, so she has to wear a hat all the time.
(wearing a hat in summer often leads to minor bullying as well :p)
She has really pushed the boat out and stopped for two weeks now, but is finding it hard to cope.
She wants proper advice on how to stop herself.
She can't go to her doctor for a consultation because she is applying for a teaching course at uni and the interviewers call her GP to ask about history of psychiatric help/ need of help, and turn applicants down if they need help.
Doctor can't help.
Generic internet answers are ****.
I need you Funnyjunk.
How does she stop pulling her hair out?
I need advice from someone who has seen this kind of problem, personally, before.
Or has any appropriate advice/knowledge.
If it isn't you, at least don't thumb it down.
Please help, however you can.
