What's Clannad?

A visual Novel, the same way as Katawa. Only Clannad has a 2 season anime series as well, following the canon rout in the game. I recommend it! Both the Visual Novel and she series.

where can I download it?

You can find the torrent for the visual novel on piratebay, and i think you can find the series there as well. But you can find it on a lot of torrent sites. :)

Most people like Little Busters and Air, but also from Key.

I haven't played those however, and I can't remember the names of any other I have played. If you wan a good list of recommendations for other VN's you should ask in the boards, or there should be "some" sites that range a lot of them. Have fun! :)

But if you want to get a sense of how feel it is, watch Clannad and Clannad afterstory. It follows the path wich is canon. You will break, you will cry, and you will sing "Dango" over and over again for comfort.

Few things I want to ask, should I do the same thing as with KS, first time through making the decisions I feel right?

How long is one route?

I'd say always do first what you think is right, as it makes the game feel more real.

Second: I'm not done, but they are a hell of a lot longer, since the guys making this were payed and knew exactly what they were doing. To visualize: They made the canon route a 2 season anime series, and could only put in what was important. See?

In KS I did the first round by heart and the one's after that I checked how to get the other routes and did them by heart. Only one bad ending... But yeah I think I'll wait for a while before starting this, gotta get other things in my life in shape before sinking into VNs again...

I don't mind paranoia, as long as it doesn't affect me.
I don't mind the disabilities, because they don't impose or infringe upon me.
But his method of coping with near-blindness, in this case his paranoia, negatively affects me.
It's as if Emi's method of coping with her disability was to swear at anyone who brought it up. It's an unnecessary mental change that is projected outward and negatively affects those around her.

most of us here didn't know feels until we played it. Some get more, some - less, emotional. Don't call yourself heartless. Or a prick. Be happy you got over it. Because most guys get jealous of Hisao for living in such a fantasy.

I had the same opinion of you, and it wasn't until i had finished Emi's path (which was my first) That i realized how much this had affected me, at first i was laughing at everything because i thought it was just silly babble, but now i know that it is something so much more.

Thats a safe bet, Once you start....you get... attached I think is the right word.

Act 1 is really boring, but you should at least try to finish one of the girls. The other acts show how the girls live, and what happened in their past. Hisao is a bit dull at first, but that really changes once he meets on of the girls. But i can understand where you got bored with it, i felt the same way when i first played it.

Well it's not a game, that's why some people will get instantly bored... because they think it's a freakin' game!!!

i've just played fate night to get over katawa shoujo and i wouldn't say its better.

It's too different to be compared really, its mainly based on the action and the growth of the main character and although the alternate routes are really interesting, towards the end they become some what predictable, although the fight scenes are really pretty cool for the first time you see them especially the ones with beserker in.

Katawa shoujo i prefer because its more emotional i think, the amount of feels is incredible in fact there is even a forum site which people share their feels on after playing the game, the character depth in this is really awesome as well, and the only thing i'd say was bad about this game was the lack of voice acting and that the first 'chapter' had to be repeated with minor changes, but thats the same with most visual novels i guess.


On a side note if you want another visual novel that is really interesting you can check out Saya no uta, be warned, its pretty damn fucked up and is a horror/ psychological with a mentally ill main character, was worth checking out even if it is completely messed up

I disagree completly the feels where stronger and the bonds were stronger in Fate/Stay Night.

I have seen the anime, but i have to say, actually choosing what to say and ultimately deciding whether or not you want to make the girls happy is i think what puts Katawa Shoujo above Fate/Stay Night. You choose to learn about these girls and they grow on you, slowly becoming much more important to you as you choose what and how to talk to them.

The anime can't really compare to the Visual Novel
