Hello funnyjunk,
I'm sure you've all heard of the "dihydrogen Monoxide" hoax
the one where some kid asked people to ban a 'dangerous' substance that turned out to be water

well I felt the need to see if this will work for myself, so i just set up this petition on change.org
If possible please help me by spreading this around wherever you can

if not, well, I hope the next content is funnier.

IMO If you already know the outcome then it won't be as funny as the original hoax. How about making a petition for Liquidambar Styraciflua or better known as chewing gum or even Saccharomyces Cerevisiae better known as beer or even Eructation which is the scientific name for burping? I think it would be just as funny to use one of these or another you think of on your own. Expand your mind and be original. We live in a world full of average thinking people who have no idea what the scientific names are of the stuff they see and use every day.

maybe but it loses its appeal with more complicated things like that, its understandable to not know the scientific name of chewing gum, but its not too hard to figure out dihydro
