People in FJ often understand the word repost as "has been posted on FJ before" not as "re-posted from another site". This is not a repost, at least to my understanding, but OP is still meant to give proper credit to the website he took this from. People wouldn't be making a number out of this if he just could've done that.

There is two ways of explaining stuff like that:

The tough way (which he did)
And the polite way (which he didn't)

You can obviously see which one works best.

And yes, giving proper credit is the way to go, but you don't see me giving credit to the drawer of this picture everytime I use it. It's the internet, and everything is up for grabs unless the original creator has given it a patent or something.
