I'm sitting here watching the Today show before heading off to school and I guess the word of the year is ".gif" and they keep pronouncing it "dot jiff" like the peanut butter, but I have always called it a "gif" like "git" but with an "f" instead of a "t"

Who's right? how do you guys say it? Does it even count as a word that can be word of the year?
