Guy A beats his wife 6 times a week. Guy B has never hit his wife ever.
On average they beat their wives 3 times a week each.

That's the problem with statistics.

not a problem with statistics, but a problem with the people who choose the wrong methods to represent their data the best.
there are 3 "averages" in statistics; mean, median and mode. you can pick any one of them and say that is the "average" and be correct.

Just like this. Some people have no internet access at all and can't spend a minute online, while others spend all their time on it.

Or it could've been put like this.
"Men that beat their wives do so on average 6 times a week."

It's not exactly a problem, people just seem to ignore the fact that it's statistics and take the numbers as truth. In that situation the average guy does beat his wife 3 times a day, people just need to remember it's an average.
