I was recently discussing the differences between American and British lingo. I realized that the phrase
"I was just smoking a fag." Has a completely different meaning when speaking to Americans; and I think that any American I was talking to was getting the wrong idea. So, I tried adapting the phrase "I was just Blowing a fag." Instead.

Silly Americans still think I am talking about smoking a cigarette.
