skip it

so, this just happened.

i wanted to go to town with a couple of mates tomorrow, so i asked around.

my first choice back out around lunchtime today.

second person i asked said yes, but dropped out an hour ago.

third person.. i actually asked three days ago.. and they dropped out about two hours ago.

fourth person is.. actually not involved in this. but it's the person i am completely and utterly in love with. they haven't been online in a week, going on two. skype is the only way we can keep in touch; they're in another country.

it's not the backing out at the last minute that i mind, it's that they were so casual about it. like, i'm sure they wouldn't have even let me know they weren't able to make it unless i'd asked. who knows; maybe they'd even wait until i was in town before letting me know.

it also bothers me that this happens a lot.. and i spent a full three hours today trying to console person two about their relationship problems. when i said something about my significant other not being online, person two just flaked it. didn't really care..

people take advantage of people... don't ever be like that.

a bit of courtesy goes a long way these days...
