France has lots of bad sides and some good sides, for example how they surrendered to Nazi Germany in World War Two and nearly cost Britain it's reputation. your country is ignorant and disrespectful to the UK despite the UK being better than France. The leash representing the level of involvement within the European Union. Generally I look towards the political side of inter-euro relations, etc. not the culture, society.

But yeah the French were faggots during WWII, yes, as a french, I despise them, but not because they surrendered, it wasn't their choice and anyway they weren't correctly equipped to fight a war (which I can understand). I despise them because only a few of them were resistants but when the war ended, boom everyone went "YEAH WE WERE ALL RESISTANTS" and then tortured and killed the "traitors" and then they were all "No we didn't collaborate. The France never surrendered, only Vichy's government did" .

Anyway we actually like the british. I don't know where you went and how you acted. However, I admit that French aren't open people at all. But, yes as you said about Nazi occupation of France I agree. France has a lot to answer to the UK such as their general political dislike of the British as we still have an empire. In the end as said, I love France and the people who are polite and respectful. Shame your country is not considering backing out the EU and freeing itself from Merkel's grasp.
