What if Google made their own minecraft server? SERIOUSLY. THINK ABOUT THAT SHIT. Google owns enough hardware and bandwidth to effectively simulate the entire world if they needed to. They have access to coders and designers who can make plugins and mods and stuff in less that a few hours. They have a massive ass data center that can process shit tons of data. This would be so fucking cool.
