So I was reading through The Oblivion Crisis book in Skyrim and it stated that the beginning of the fourth era was marked by the banishing of Mehrunes Dagon. Now, Skyrim is set in year 4E201. And, as we know, time passes in each game whilst playing. However, your character never exactly dies of old age or anything. So, isn't it technically possible for your character from Oblivion to exist at the exact same time as your character in Skyrim?
Obviously, if that was possible, it would be a pointless endeavour, and I can't even remember if the game registers the start of a new era. However, wouldn't it just be the most amazing thing ever if someone did it and found someone make a mention of a dragon attack at the precise time 201 years later? Someone needs to try this. If you do, you will have my love, and my collection of irregularly-shaped marbles if you want .
Additional Little Theoryesque Thing my friend thought of.
Remember at the end of the Shivering Isles storyline? When you become Sheogorath? Well, you meet Sheogorath (or a representation of him) in a quest in Skyrim. So... did you meet yourself? Is the new generation of of totally forgotten epic adventurer meeting the previous generation of totally forgotten adventurer? Or maybe has someone stolen your position as God of Madness in the meantime? 'T'd'be cool to know.
