So why haven't you seen Blue Mountain State yet?

Seriously, among the top 5 greatest shows I have ever seen.

I saw it and, much like the other guy who didn't like it, I didn't like it. It was just stupid jokes and unintelligent banter. You said that the other guy didn't get the point of it. I really wanted to like this show, I really did. The premise is good, but I couldn't find anything redeeming about the show that made me want to watch more.

I wasn't expecting much from whatever plot the show was supposed to have, but even what they did give you was bad. There are so many other shows and movies that have done college better.

It was't stupid jokes and banter, it's a satirical show. It's making fun of all that. The show is made specifically for that reason, and it does a damn good job.
The plot was pretty good for the second season, the first was meh, I'll give you that.
And there is literally only one show that has ever done college better, and that's Community, which is also in the top five greatest shows.

If this show is a satire, then Hannah Montana must be the Holy Bible of pop star parodies.

This show is a parody at most, but in no way is it a clever satire.

To compare Community to BMS is in no way fair. Of course Community is going to come out the better show. This is because it is a better show, and a much better show at that.

BMS is in no way clever. The characters, the "plot," the humor - it is all just schlock.

This show is as clear as Satire gets, Hannah Montana is a parody.
You can't see the forest for the trees. Try to think about it for a minute. Think about how over-exaggerated the characters are. Think about the antics.
This isn't like American Pie where it's straight up a ridiculous movie, this is a piece of art.
And Community is only slightly better.

I've seen the light now. I see how ridiculous this show is, and how un-satirical it is. Now matter how many websites I check, I cannot find any official statement that says that this show is a satire.

Yeah, and you also can't get official statements that say The Onion is a satire either. It's all implied.

At least The Onion is a satire. What is Blue Mountain State:

Not in the slightest bit accurate in what it is representing

In case that last one confuses you (it would confuse me), I mean that, in the example of The Onion, it is showing the stupidity of many people. Blue Mountain State does not do this. Blue Mountain State shows what the creators and writers think college is like today. I am almost positive that the majority of college football teams do not behave in such a way. For Blue Mountain State to be a satire, it has to at least parody what a number of colleges do.

Oh c'mon. The Onion had a story "Sweating Obama Admits Drone Strikes Have Been Happening On Their Own".
That's not really happening, it's an exaggeration of it.
BMS is an exageration of the drugs and alcohol college guys do.
But I guess it all comes down to opinion.

True that. I suppose on this we just have to agree to disagree.
