It says, "No penalty". It does not say, "No petalty". Just compare the N penalty with the T at the end. There is no typo there.

This was not intended to be an explanation of any sort , Explain accounts are a community of people that dedicate to help the clueless and unknowing , how ever we still do post regular comments.

Does this explain his comment sufficiently?

could you explain the astounding ability of FunnyJunk to turn everything it touches to pure cancer given time? or is that FunnyJunkexplain's job?

i thought the whole explain thing was interesting until hundreds started popping up
User avatar #65 to #44 - psychexplain (04/06/2014) [-]
This is another person.
I think the main reason that we, as a small secluded site, are so good at making cancer of everything within it, is because we're so secluded. We don't have the hugeness of reddit, or the openness of /b/, or the anything of any other site. I think it increases the group solidarity and a larger boundary of ‘us’ and ‘the rest of the internet’, and makes us increasingly susceptible to complying with fads, which is much easier when it’s not huge or open. It basically makes it easier to have a single consensus. You may or may not remember the period where 'your opinion' gifs or however it was phrased was spread around, reflecting how much differing opinions were disliked? A few years ago, memes became cancer (which isn’t our fault) and not 'ours' and we backpedalled away from it. The fedora neckbeard fad came around and we backpedaled away from it. When something isn’t favorably considered by the majority or seizes to be ‘ours’, we will reject it.
On the other hand, as a tighter-knit community, we also want to create something that is ‘ours’, and we all want to be on the new approved fad-train. This may all sound obvious, I just think it’s worth noting just how powerful this actually is.

But, the whole explain account explosion is mainly for other reasons. 1) It’s easy to do. 2) People want to feel ‘important’. 3) We want such a system in place because it’d be pretty cool and ‘ours’. 4) Jokexplain propagated it terribly. 5) FJ excels at terrible jokes. Its quite simple. Don't worry; all fads fade.
User avatar #62 to #44 - internetexplain (04/06/2014) [-]
That indeed would technically be Funnyjunkexplain 's job , but also that of me and psychexplain and technically historyexplain as well , since this is a social matter and is related to the history of FJ.

Funnyjunk , as most gathering places for different people with different ideas , has over time created their very own social structure in which things that are common outside of it , but not inside of it (e.g Rage-comics) are considered work of the enemy (e.g 9gag) and thus "cancer".
Because of treating all sorts of internet phenomena as "cancer" the people of the FJ community have grown to quickly disregard things that seem hostile to their routine as well as things that offend them as "cancer".

So your individual problem is that the explain community is too big of a change for you to currently handle. Once you get used to it though , anyone mimicking us will most likely be considered cancer by you.

Soccer players often fake injuries. They will continue to fake things until a penalty on the other team is called. In this case a penalty was never called, so he stopped faking it.
