there are numerous reasons why this is a bad idea.
mainly it's not necessarily good for business since it changes the overall feel of the party marginally since it removes focus from "having a fun night out" to "trying too hard to get lucky."
secondly it attracts super desperate guys which again attract way below average-looking girls.
Also the yellow one is... well too complicated to really figure out for most druk people while music is pumping max volume in the background...
So while the concept sounds awesome at first it has alot of issues related to it

tl;dr
it's a no go, bro

Maybe it's a private party?
I think you're overthinking the whole thing, desperate guys are everywhere, and so are ugly girls.

from experience i can say that i've only seen this concept at clubs, also because people at private parties tend to know each other and thier respective relationships better.
Also from experience; desperate guys, who are only trying to score, are drawn to these things like moths to a flame

We have a party like that in Belgium

Basically it's once every year and it's super fun.
People still dance and stuff and have fun and flirt, but you know you're not wasting time

That being said, if it was more than once a year it wouldn't be that much fun

I know I'd like that, as I would be able to wear the red one and dance with a girl without giving off the wrong messages. It sucks going to a club or bar with friends when you're in a long distance relationship.

The only problem I see is the honor system.

Scenario: Taken girl, looking to cheat. We've all seen numerous instances showing women ****** someone, regretting it, saying it was rape, and getting the man in jail. Lets say she is one of these people. She picks up both a single and taken bracelet. She puts on the single and tucks away the taken. Finds someone, takes him back to his/her place, they ****, she wakes up next morning, regrets it, puts on taken, hides single bracelet, goes to boyfriend say she was raped, guy gets arrested. Due to "partying and drunkness" she gets away with it.

It's valid, but I'm not so sure it's a common enough issue to really ruin the idea.
That's going to happen pretty much regardless, and people being able to eye-witness report her carrying the "single" one makes it harder for her to succeed.

But I don't know, maybe it's got more merit than I realise.

Yeah, I know it wouldnt be so common but it is still a problem. Not saying it wont work as a whole because of this potential issue, its just something I saw wrong with it.

Its complicated is basically just saying, "I have a boyfriend, but i really feel like gettin somma dat new dick" (and vice versa)

There's a "Color Party" every month at my local bar, where they do this, even with the same colors, it's just with clothing color instead, and it works fine.

No, I think green represents "taken", yellow represents "single" and red represents "single and looking"

a) Because single guys would probably try to lie for better odds with the grills.
b) Ugly cider-whales would wear the single ones all the time.
c) The good looking single girls would go with the taken ones.

So you're saying that single guys would want people to know that they're single?

And single girls would want people to know that they're single?

And taken girls would want people to know that they're taken?

No, he's saying that boys who are single would wear one that suggests they're in a relationship, as some believe that can cause girls to be more attracted to you. On a similar strand, albeit for the opposite reason, pretty girls who aren't in relationships would wear the taken bands to avoid the unwanted attention from desperate guys.

The only people who would be 'single' would be the ugly girls - for good reason too, I guess.

See, firstly, that extra attention while you're in a relationship doesn't work by lying. There's actual science behind it. Part of it is your own lack of trying to **** others, making them want to impress you, the other half is pheromones and ****.

But even if it were on anon's logic, nobody would hook up with someone in a "taken" wristband, because they would be labelled as a massive slut because there's a ******* neon sign explaining how they are.

a) what are single guys going to lie with for better odds? "I'm taken, wanna ****?"
b) Well if they're single they'd wear the single bracelet.....kinda how it works.
c) Who gives a ****? If they can't wear a taken bracelet do you think they'll suddenly become interested?
