So.. Who is the favourite for SuperBowl? I have my hopes on Ravens. But then again, I don't live in USA.
It'd be sweet if he retires with a ring, 49ers don't have anyone retiring after this year, it's nice to hear those feel good stories! Colin will get his 2nd chance I'm sure he will, considering he's a more dynamic QB than Smith, now all the 49ers have to do in this draft (instead of ANOTHER QB in the 2nd round) is get a WR and other needed positions.
The way you said it made it sound like his career would not be complete without another ring.
For me, I could care less about a feel good story. I'm a 49ers fan, so naturally I want them to win. Super Bowls don't come by often, and they're not a given just because you make it there once. Not only that, I don't think it makes the Ravens more deserving because there are no 49ers players retiring. Randy Moss has played a hall of fame career, but still doesn't have a ring. Frank Gore, Justin Smith, Patrick Willis, and many others have toiled in mediocrity with the team, and I think they deserve a ring as well. They may not get another shot.

tbh I think they will, they've got too much talent to the point where like I said all they need in this draft is WR and they're set! Most of the other good teams out there need to fix more, Packers need a better D again, we need a RB, we need a C, we're a mess... Vikings are still young, Redskins jeopardized RG3's health, Seahawks are still young, Falcons need better D and coaching (or they'll never get over the playoff hump), many of the good teams need help just to win next season, 49er's don't need much, making them the favorite next year and most likely to repeat in the Super Bowl.
Maybe I'm a pessimist, but the NFC West has gone from the laughing stock of the NFL to one of the best divisions. The Seahawks are a very scary team at times, and the Rams are up and coming. The verdict is still out on the Cardinals, though.
I'm fairly happy that the 49ers have 14 picks in this year's draft. What I am worried about is the quality of cornerbacks in the draft. The 49ers secondary was torched by Matt Ryan and the Falcons in the first half of the NFCCG. That's a blaring need.
Guess we'll just have to see. I've been a nervous wreck these past two weeks. I would have taken anyone over the Ravens in the Super Bowl, but it had to be them.
