after thinking about about QB situations, I had a change of opinion, the 4 teams that will draft a QB in the first round are the following, the qb selected, and their reason....
Chiefs-they still have talent on the offense, just no QB, Cassel even when healthy sucked this year, and backups, meh... Logical choice: Colin Klein, K-St.
Eagles-same as Chiefs, but with a new coaching staff, there's going to be a major overhaul and they're going to need a VERY ready NFL QB to move on, Logical Choice: An NFL ready QB or Landry Jones from Ok.
Cardinals: despite having Housler, Fitz, Stephens-Howling, Williams, and Wells, this team sucks, their O-line is bad, but the QB's are worse, Logical Choice: An NFL ready QB or Landry Jones (because I don't know the 4th best QB for the 1st round)
Broncos: This team is good now, it has depth on defense, depth on offense, except at QB, Manning is great don't get me wrong, but he lasts as long as that neck does. Logical Choice: Matt Barkley, because USC has a bad track record for talented but often immature QB's, putting him with Manning is great because Manning will mentor him and keep him out of trouble, plus the Broncos can spare a pick this year because they have depth.
The Jets are replaced because the team is so bad on offense that they can't really spare a pick for QB, they need WR's, O-Line, a better RB than Greene, TE's, EVERYTHING for offense! They haven't tested Tebow yet so that's why no pick for them this year, just in case, besides there will be plenty of good FA QB's this year with starting experience or break out years (like Kaepernick).

I disagree with the Chiefs, I feel the Chiefs are going to do everything in their power to acquire Alex Smith, who is going to leave the 49ers, and then use this pick for Te'o and most likely trade him for some d-linemen.

good idea but Smith doesn't have the greatest arm and the Chiefs I think just want to move on at this point instead of getting "another" QB. I think it's about time they find a franchise QB that KC can remember for years instead of forget, I can't even think of a legendary KC QB besides Montana who played what 2 years for them? KC has been about as bad with QB's as Detroit and Chicago have been prior to Stafford and Cutler.

Oh c'mon now the Chiefs had Len Dawson, also Trent Green was a good QB who got the job done. I see Alex Smith as a franchise QB for sure, he is still young and has the talent to work. On the other hand I wouldn't mind if they got Klein, he's a good kid who deserves a shot and is from Kansas State, someone the fans can really admire. I just hope the Chiefs don't waste this pick on some other QB besides Klein, because honestly I don't see any other productive quarterbacks.

lol sorry I don't know much about other legend QB's besides our 3 (*cough* Starr, Favre, and Rodgers *cough*), but Smith young? He's already going on 30, older than Cassel I believe, Chiefs need to start thinking younger, and they could use their other 6 picks for defense. That's why I chose Klein, feel good story of the decade!

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE KLEIN. I just am so afraid he will not succeed in the NFL. I would be with him the whole way though if we got some decent receivers, I don't like Bowe, and none of these receivers actually people to love in KC. In the early 2000s we did not have success in the playoffs, but we still had lovable players that the fans supported all the way, we loved Green, Holmes, Hall and our receivers (Not to mention Tony Gonzalez) now all the Chiefs seem to do is pick up a bunch of arrogant assholes from the SEC which is a conference Kansas City completely despises. You know it isn't all about winning.

true, but winning helps :/
Here in Green Bay it was hard for us to accept Rodgers for a while (because of dumbass Favre fans including my eldest brother, it wasn't hard for me to accept him), but he's a winner! A damn good winner! I'm sure Klein and whomever the Chiefs bring in will be the same!

I predict games very well, I am fairly decent at seeing talent, but sitting with a 2-11 record with a team I kind of hate. All I want is some people I actually like, I want Klein more than anything and even Tebow maybe. I don't care if they win or not I want someone who I can actually root for.
User avatar #5517 to #5515 - frenchfryy (12/11/2012) [-]
exactly! It's why I root for Rodgers, he's a winner and likable! Best of both worlds! KC needs that too!

Same idea as you just I want likable then we can focus on winning.
