No, because are you aware of how much strategy and preparation goes into what you say is just turning left? And physical and mental preparation for the long races, and the fact that one little mistake could completely ruin your finish? Some people think it is just turning left, and in a way, it is, but how complex just turning a wheel can become when you have to beat 42 other people, come within inches of other cars and the wall, and do this for 3 hours every week. And it is one of the most competitive sports in the world, because 43 teams have to compete against each other every single week, so there is never ever any room for error. Come back when you have a real argument.
And something I forgot to add- NASCARs don't have power steering, which means they have to turn the wheels directly with their arms, no electricity to make it easier on them. Doing this for 3 hours is complete physical activity and can take all of someones effort.
I don't think it's a sport, but then again I'm comparing it to formula 1 racing which takes more skill. All the cars in NASCAR are basically made by the same 5 car company, which are shit compared to the more diverse companies in Formula 1, and it's in all honesty it's a boring sport too. No one wants to wait 100 laps for a guy to slowly overtake the guy in front of him. Sure need to have some strength to drive the cars but think about it. Your driving machine going 500 mph.
