How does he have a charizard if his rival has an ivysaur? Wouldnt he have to have a squirtle start?

I did a solo run of Pearl with just a Luxray, named Sparky
beat the whole game with just him until the second member of the elite four
needless to say Luxray has become one of my favorite Pokemon

Okay, all your solo runs are cool but can someone please tell me what a Nuzlocke run is?

Oh, also, in case you were wondering, this is where Nuzlocke originated. www.nuzlocke.com/challenge.php

Solo runs are MUCH easier than nuzlocke runs. Just saying.

Only solo run I've done was with Squirtle as my starter in Fire Red. Dragons? Ice beam. Electric? Earthquake. Psychics/Ghosts? Bite. Everything else? Surf.

Come gen 5 I did Nuzlocke's and type runs more. I've done Water, Fire, Fighting, Flyer, Ground, Rock, and Grass runs.
< yfw I tell you this

I did a solo run on Black2. There were a few annoyances of having to grab HM slaves and required event battles. But otherwise it was fun. If you use a pokemon with lots of coverage moves, like I did with lucario, you can take on the whole game rather easily, It got to level 94 at the end of the elite 4. Ground gym was an absolute pain though.

I did a solo run through pokemon yellow as a kid, I chose Nidoking cause he looked badass. Was like, level 76 by the time I fought the elite four and beat the shit out of all their pokemans. Ended up using struggle against the last pokemon Lance had to finish it all up cause who actually bought all the important shit when they were 8?

Solo run in Sapphire with Treeko.
I now have a deep seeded hatred for any Fighting and Fire gyms.
