Or they can just make the second scoop smaller, because you're being a cunt and tell you to **** off.

"This faggot is trying to get the double meat he's paying and asking for. better give him less. that'll show the stupid **** what he gets when he supports our business!"

When you say it like that anything sounds dickish. "This faggot's not giving me more than he gives everyone else. Better trick him into giving me more. That'll show the stupid **** what he gets when he offers me a service." See? Sounds dickish.

Like I said below, single scoops tend to be bigger than multiple scoops. That's a common practice almost everywhere. Double scoops aren't each supposed to be the size of a single one. The guy's technically getting more than he's supposed to. When was the last time you saw a double anything that was twice bigger than the regular version? They just don't do that **** .

This is basically the same exact thing top comment said just worded differently and it got +42 thumbs as opposed to -103.

Also, people have the tendency of going with the flow on FJ. If a comment has a lot of green thumbs, they feel inclined to thumb it up. In the same way, if it has a ******* of red thumbs they thumb it down without even thinking.

I've noticed that phrasing's the difference between sounding like a scholar and a ******* .

It's being a cunt to make sure you get what you order?
User avatar #91 to #84 - thechosentroll (07/23/2014) [-]
No, but it's pretty common practice to make single scoops larger than multiple, so making sure both are the size of a single scoop is a bit dickish. Kind of like the people who order a medium coffee in a large cup, since the employees will always accidentally pour a bit extra.
User avatar #97 to #91 - psykobear (07/23/2014) [-]
But it is called "Double" Meat. If it's going to be any less, the order should be called "Extra Meat." When people order it, they are paying to have twice as much as a single would have. I understand that you're saying that you are a little generous when someone is ordering a single, but if someone is paying what is probably an extra dollar for double, why deny them?
User avatar #98 to #97 - thechosentroll (07/23/2014) [-]
Because doubles are never double the size of the original. It's just marketing. What sounds better? "Double burrito" or "Slightly larger burrito"?
User avatar #100 to #98 - psykobear (07/23/2014) [-]
Which is better, getting what you order or getting less than what you order because it sounds better? It doesn't matter how it sounds. I can't advertise a car with 20,000 miles on it as new just because it sounds better.
User avatar #101 to #100 - thechosentroll (07/23/2014) [-]
Where does it say that the double version is double the size? You THINK it's double, because of the name, but no one actually said it's double. You're not being lied to, you just feel entitled to something, because you think you're entitled to it.

"Where does it say that the new car is actually new? You THINK it's new, because of the name, but no one actually said it's new. You're not being lied to, you just feel entitled to something, because you think you're entitled to it." That will usually lead to not selling the car, as well as a bad reputation. Had they purchased the car and found out you advertised it as new and it was not, then refused to take it back, legal action would follow.

The words you use can be applied to any sort of false advertising. You're speaking like a politician, and putting down anyone who wants to not be lied to.

OK, you know what? I have better **** to do, so I'll stop sugarcoating it and say it nice and simple. NO ONE GIVES A **** THAT YOU'RE BEING LIED TO! Employees don't give a **** , venues don't give a **** , companies don't give a **** , corporations don't give a **** , the law doesn't give a **** . No matter what you think they're going to keep doing what they do, because no one gives a **** about what you think you're supposed to get. Most people who are being lied to know the truth, but still don't give a **** . Why? Because it's too minor of a thing to give a **** about. "OH NO! Someone gave me 50 grams less chicken than they were supposed to. Oh, woe is me! The world is so unfair.". This is how you ******* sound to me right now.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to go play some Dwarf Fortress. In case you decide to reply, just imagine I reply to everything you say with "I don't give a **** ", because I sincerely don't.

The I don't give a **** doesn't make your point immediately valid, and neither does the gif. You're still an immature asshole for taking a simple discussion and turning it into this.
Secondly, I don't really give a **** how I sound to you. You were arguing as if there was a
"great pain" in someone waiting to tell you they wanted a double until after you put the first scoop on. Ar you really that ******* hurt? Because it's exactly what you would be doing if they had ordered the double in the first place. No ******* change except you're employer, not you, by the way, payed an extra 5 ******* cents to make a customer happy
You can get mad an be a cunt all you want, but what you basically just said was that the employees, venue, companies are cheating the customer and don't give a **** , while all i was trying to say is that they were being cheated. I know they don't give a **** and that's what is wrong with modern businesses. While I'm taken aback by you're sudden bitching, I still wish you a good day.

Then you can complain why it's smaller. You asked for double, not double but half-size.

eeeeeeehhhhhhh
his reasoning might be cuntish, but asking for double chicken a little late isn't an especially heinous thing to do.
