If you look closely at the gap before she rams through it you can see that it is missing the bolts. My parents still have that play structure in their backyard.

I may be looking at it wrong, but it looks like instead of following momentum the slide curves inwards towards the original position. Because your essentially creating a sudden turn in motion.. That's just asking for a large impact force, hence the hole created. Surely if you wanted to create a decent slide, you would have a slide sloping away from the original motion (so that your following it).
So in simple terms.. Going quick round sudden sharp bends is gonna end up with you smashing into the corner.

i blame the rider they look to big to use the slide
