CEOs CEOs CEOs.... holy **** why dont we look at singers and actors and foot ball players and all those others assholes who make millions? CEOs actually do **** . They started the ******* company from nothing and are making millions for their rewards. ( **** Walmart and best buy though, their ******* assholes)

Kanye West sings a retarded songs and makes millions. Oh no one cares.. he isnt evil and greedy

Some man builds his own company, earns millions, and gets looked at like some rich Jew.

im sick of hearing this ******** , saying people who make 1-10 million a year are crooks.

Oprah makes 300 Mil a year. why the **** dont you tax her 99%??? Why dont you go after her and her liberal pals on the view? oh ya thats right. shes on your side, shes a liberal. dont go after the team mate. ..... your as blind and retarded as a potato.

"I am the 99% percent" **** you, i am too. at least bitch at the right people. instead of having them be a wolf in the sheep herd you are in.

Id be a liberal, if it wasn't for the fact that every liberal leader is lives the life that liberals hate and despise. Liberals want equal money, healthcare, housing and all this **** .

Well look at every mainstream liberal icon. They are rich as **** , perfect healthcare, 25 rooms in their house, dont give any money to the poor and and lieing to their ******* sheepeople saying they want the same thing. Wake the **** up and smell the rain. (when i mean dont give money to the poor, I mean they don't give their excess money to the poor)

so to all the liberals out their. **** you.
this libertarian is out.

So... I guess America is the best place to be a CEO

It always bugs me, because those at the top, typically had to work hard, and pay their dues earlier in life, and didn't just bitch and whine and complain about work. Just work hard, don't get under the skin of your employers, and eventually, you'll start to move up the ladder. Now while this may not be exactly how the system works, the reason CEOs get paid more is also because of supply and demand for the jobs. It's that whole argument that we had a while ago about sports players getting paid more than army men.

Also, CEOs do actually have to do a lot of work and have to have a good understanding of business, so it's not just a cushy job that anybody could do.

I completely understand what you're saying and I agree that CEOs definitely deserve a larger paycheck than the burger flippers, it's just the fact that, in America, some of these CEOs are making millions of dollars every year while half of their employees aren't making enough to live. If we want to fix the poverty problems then we need to set a minimum wage that would allow people at the entry-level positions to make enough to survive. While it would have initial backlash, the economy would recover and people would get used to the change.

If this is actually true it wouldn't really surprise me. It's common knowledge that the rich get richer and the poor generally get poorer.

Oh okay I understand now. Lets just all be the same. Lets all get paid the same, and live in the same kinds of houses and neighborhoods. Lets standardize our education and tests so it's "fair" and "equal". Lets have everyone just be the same, equally poor and ignorant. That should make a happy country, right?

Yes, and people in the U.S. could all be as aware of all the injustice and unfairness that surrounds them but the simple fact is that the main thing holding us back is our contentedness to simply complain and carry on through the motions because someone else will handle it, right?

What bugs me most about these kinds of posts is that "the government should DOOOO something" is heavily implied. **** that. The only reason why you have the same guys at the top is because the government encourages it.

Besides, CEO's making lots of money is not a bad thing; The companies those guys own make us ALL richer, to the point where even our poorest are better off than even the middle class in many other countries. You don't see anyone flocking to any of those other countries on that list. There's a reason for that.

And yet the median income in the US is still higher than every country but Luxembourg, Switzerland, and Norway, who all have substantially higher cost of living.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Median_household_income

I think we will be all right. We have such successful companies because inventors and creators are rewarded so well.
#44 to #23 - mca (03/11/2014) [-]
When quoting Medians be very careful, Standard Deviations can rip the impact of that to shreds. Never make a judgement, especially in economics, on just the most basic stat. No clue what the standard deviation is, could be relatively small, but the median is a pretty redundant statistic without knowing what the corresponding standard deviation is in the world of statistics.

Being a CEO is one of the only jobs where you're always at work. You don't "go home" from a job as a CEO, if you get a call or an email you ******* deal with that **** , and you will get multiples, every hour of every day. It's a stressful job and tons of them die of heart attacks or strokes. Reason why they're paid higher in the U.S.? Because if your company is successful worldwide, you need to be in the U.S. I really don't know why, but it's something I've noticed. It's like saying "actors in Los Angeles are paid more than actors in every other city, what the **** ?!"
#88 - Funnypocalypse (03/11/2014) [-]
Well... In Venezuela the avg worker is not paid much because the government needs their people to be poor and ignorant (that's why there's no education) so they can give money as present to them when they're tired of the situation and they can vote for the government; and generally, the CEO are government fanatics or corrupts of the government. The CEOs that are against the government are generally in other countries cause they're generally prosecuted... So yeah... I just wanted to let you know that Venezuela isn't that well economically...

Not all regulation is bad or for lobbyists. Some of it is very good and necessary, which is why we can never have laissez faire capitalism in America.
