The site is home to some of the most venomous hate-speech I've ever seen on a mainstream board, yet they dilute themselves into thinking that everyone else are hatemongers that get all their information from "faux news" Do they ever consider that their own opinions may be poorly formed considering that they get all their news from a source that literally believes the opposition is Satan?
They pride themselves on "free thinking" and all that bullshit, but they operate like a hive-mind that shuts out and actively seeks to destroy any sign of dissent. I try to avoid it's idiocy, but every time I get linked there I can hardly tell the actual political posts from /r/circlejerk.

Reddit just hammers the same ideas in relentlessly until the only two remaining groups are those who believe it and those who left the site because they can't take it anymore. This is why virtually everyone on the site has the exact same opinions.

pokemonstheshiz (09/06/2012) [-] While reddit is a circlejerk, isn't everything? There exists no real unbiased forum or newstation because people are involved, and people are biased. Any politics has to involve bias, because people have to come to conclusions about candidates they don't really know, based on moralities that are developed by humans so are naturally biased and differ by region so there will always be dissent, and any real projections are based on economics which is not a very predicable science. If there is an unbiased news forum, I would love to hear about it.

Just like r/atheism where half of them spew anti-religion and claim "I BELIEVE IN SCIENCE, NOT A FAKE GOD" when most of them probably haven't passed a Science class with anything beyond a C or a B.
It's Bandwagon central, just like how our very own front page was (and occasionally regresses to) a few weeks ago.
