Not really. Plenty of Demmies are still religious. Some republicans are gay. Some democrats don't support abortion.

In general, traditional values are to the right, whereas more modern values are to the left. The right is in general more religious, whereas the left is more secular.

The left wing is for greater social freedom, but less financial freedom, and the right is vice versa.

Of course, there will always be exceptions.

I believe in several distinct values. I like abortion laws as they are; third trimester abortions are awful. They have become human, almost sustainable outside the womb. I believe cannabis should be legalized and sin taxed.
I also believe in a very heavy free market with little regulation. I also believe in smaller taxes, less spending. I also believe states should make plenty of their own laws regarding the hot button issue of gay marriage. Though, as a homosexual, I guess I should be screaming for gay rights.

It'd be very easy. Sell 'em like cigarettes. Maybe give licences to grow/sell. Destroys a large criminal market. Gets rid of nearly what 25-30% of the prison pop? Also creates mass revenue for the gov't
