It wasnt started in 2006 it started in 2009. In 2006 President bush started a program with the mexican govt called widespread where they caught them in america. Fast and furious was one of Obamas plans and it failed. Not to say that presidents haven't made mistakes before but he is pulling a nixon and trying to cover it up so he doesn't look bad.

Neither of you are totally right. It was an ATF operation that Obama knew about and approved. The scandal was based largely on that Obama invoked executive privilege to cover up any documents relating to Operation Fast and Furious to save face. Because of the terrible developments of this secret, somewhat illegal operation (the deaths of Mexican citizens and US border patrol agents), Obama chose to cover everything up rather than take responsibility for approving it. It's really similar to Watergate in the way that the president approved something illegal and then tried to cover it up. And the reason it is illegal is because the government is selling guns to known Mexican drug traffickers.

The program started in 2006 and it was orchestrated by the Phoenix branch of the ATF. I very much doubt the Bush or Obama pinkie pieistration had anything to do with it, as much as you'd all love to point blame for political points.

Actively giving criminals guns and not tracking them started with the official start of Fast & Furious under the Obama pinkie pieistration. Some guns were given to Mexican drug traffickers but they were heavily tracked and didn't result in the deaths of American citizens from 2006-2009. What you're saying is a conspiracy theory technically, because it's widely known that Obama was a part of the scandal as seen with his decision to cover up the documents.

The only US citizen killed as a result of the operation was US immigration and customs agent, Jaime Zapata. This was in 2011, which is what brought the operation to light.

Agent Brian Terry was killed too, as were an estimated 200 Mexican civilians. Obama invoked executive privilege to not have to reveal documents about a terribly failed operation that happened under his watch.

I watched the fucking video. Nowhere is "fast and furious" mentioned. Yes, there was a meeting with the federal government and ATF, and no it didn't involve gunwalking, which was started back in 2006 by Arizona's ATF branch. Not the ATF branch in California, New Mexico or Texas, just Arizona.

Look up essentially every green energy plan he has constantly funded and most if not all of them have been horrid failures, and these don't deter him from consistantly throwing money at them hoping they'll work.

I have not seen one thing he has promised to do be effectively put out into the public, and all I am seeing now are his supporters bringing up things he WILL do and liking the things he's doing just to get votes.

Are you talking about Solyndra? The government provides loans all the time for research & development. Because it was a green energy company, it's horrendous? Useless military tech is developed and manufactured all the time so that Congressman and Senators from places like Arkansas could say they brought jobs to their constituents. The problem with the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 was that it was too little, but it did do some good. Furthermore, it was already underway during the Bush presidency. Obama got in to office and then two and a half weeks later he signed it.

Very little can be done. The Republicans refuse to make compromises, even going so far as to torpedo the world's economy over the debt because they didn't get what they wanted.

Republicans don't want to even be seen pictured with Obama, because they're afraid their constituents will toss them out.
