Just like it's been said, the societal encompassment of human nature would never allow true Communism to work in perfect practice; humans will always compete over jobs, money, social status etc. It really is honestly a good idea, I just know as an American, and a person in general that it wouldn't work. Too much unpredictable facets. I applaud the gesture though!

" It really is honestly a good idea"
You have no idea what communism is if you say that.

You probably haven't a clue behind the reasoning of Marxism and 'true' communism if you think my conjecture is misguided. There's a good book written by a group of compiled authors called "Class Theory and the history of Communism". I've read several books about it. And no, I haven't a clue what "real" communism is because the only examples humans have seen are the power thirsty, greed driven regimes (such as that of the Easter bloc in the mid 20th century) [url deleted]

Exactly.
Communism is nothing but an utopian delusion designed to fool uneducated idiots into the murderous totalitarian tyranny that is socialism.

To think utopia could come through total dictatorship is a fine example of insanity indeed.

We haven't had a world changing cataclysm like world war 3 to unite us as a species, and we have not developed the replicator to end the scarcity of natural resources. Until then, human nature cannot handle true communism.

Because the price system is far more effective in showing the supply and demand of a community.

Because every attempt at implementing it has resulted in draconian totalitarian regimes. If nobody else in the history of Communism could ever do it right, there's no chance in hell we'll be able to either. It is incompatible with the current human nature.

Because communism doesn't work. Any remaining communist countries with the exception of North Korea have turned into some other system. The Russian bloc are now to some degree democratized China is now more of a mercantilist police state dictatorship, Vietnam has followed the Chinese model and even Cuba has instituted some reforms. It is impossible to manage the production and distribution of resources to the extent communist government tries to.

Good idea in theory. Bad idea in practice.

The equal treatment for everyone would be nice but the leaders of the communist countries always cause it to fail to due their greediness.

Without greed it would work, but that is not going to happen so it will not work.

Everyone makes the same. No compitition in the job market leads to less effort in the community.
