So would repealing this law stop people from having the right to self-defence? Because that sounds pretty dumb to me, and the argument, "that's what the police are for", isn't good enough either, the police aren't an omnipresent force, they're not going to save your daughter from being raped in the alleyway, but maybe the gun or pepper spray could. Also, some might say an omnipresent police force would be good, those people are also the kind that need help wiping their arse after going to the toilet. I'm also not picking a side, just asking a question and giving my opinion.

I'm not in favor of the Stand Your Ground law, but I am in favor of the law (that exists in various forms across many states) that allows you to kill on site anyone you deem as a threat after one verbal warning IF they are in/on your home/property.
