Hello people that visit this board,
Do you guys know any good arguments on why the UN should help in Syria?
I need it for a debate and i don't know much about the subject.

Help who?
The most obvious argument is the humanitarian one - there's a lot of bloodshed on both sides and the UN should step in to help make peace or at least assist those who have been hurt or displaced by the violence.
You can also argue for helping the rebels if you present the conflict as an authoritarian regime cracking down on innocent civilians. Unfortunately at least some of the rebels are terrorists or affiliated with terrorist groups, and it's pretty hard to tell who is who. Arming rebel movements in the Middle East has not historically worked out very well. Also Al-Qaeda supports the rebel side, though that doesn't necessarily indicate that the reverse is true.

This is off the top of my head - I haven't actually been following the conflict recently.

Thanks for the info, I did read in the newspaper that the regime wanted to use chemical weapons or let Iran use them.
And i'm guessing help civilians.
