Making a server in Pokemon Online for this right now. Any and all gym leaders/E4 members should get in there so we can give ideas and whatnot.

ALRIGHT GYM LEADERS. If you're a gym leader, then it should be fitting for you to have a gym badge. You can use whichever you'd like, but it will be the one associated with you, so pick one that matches your type a bit. You can make one, borrow one from the games, or do what I did and google image search some and find some cool ones other people have made. Pic related, its my badge...

Here's some things I thought of-

Badges- We should have a badge system, We also will need a way to track challenger's progress within the league.

Rebattles- Gym leaders can only be battled once per time period (at the leaders discrepancy, but no longer than a week). E4 Members should have a similar system, but since they function more as a group, it might have to be more standard.

Evaluation- Gym leaders and E4 members should have an evaluation every so often, where they are promoted if too strong, or demoted if too weak. This means that gym leaders can become E4 members and vice versa...but they can also be considered too weak and be dropped from the roster, while newcomers (past champions perhaps?) can come and take their positions.

Give details of badge system at top of thread.

I don't know, I've never done it before, but I'm posting the E4 rules in there, and as of now, all gym leaders are required to post their gym rules in there.

Are move sets limited, since im electric, would it be wrong for me to theoretically have all fighting type moves?

You could if you wanted, but that would be a shitty team.

I would be interested in being a Gym Leader, but I have a couple of questions. First of all, can I choose Pokemon from any Generation? How much knowledge about the games is needed? Can I choose from any type of Pokemon?

Yes, you just have to be able to do well in competitive battles, and yes, so long as the type is not listed yet.

Hmm, I guess I can't do it then. I don't know much about competitive battles, only recently I've started showing an interest to them. Mainly because I didn't know there was any online competition.

Basically, Uber's the top tier, and it's filled with a bunch of OP Pokemon like Arceus, and all Pokemon can be used in Uber battles. OU is the next down, and all non-Uber Pokemon can be used in OU battles. UU is the next tier down, so anything UU and below can be used in a UU battle, and so on. Borderline Pokemon aren't technically a tier, so they don't have their own tier.
So the possible battles are:
Uber
OU
UU
RU
NU
NFE

Little Cup Pokemon aren't allowed, since you can pull off cheap stuff with them, like the Rattata fear combo.
