I got a 3DS. It is awesome. They work exactly like older DS' but when they phase out older DS' it'll keep playing the games. Plus the resolution is better, and can be used to find other people IRL with 3DS' to play with.

Regular DS Lite. I see no reason to get a DSi. My little brother has one, and I would never trade for it. My DS Lite broke a few weeks ago, so I bought another DS Lite. Not being able to play GBA games would suck imo. Also, not being able to migrate from emerald and fire red etc. would suck.

dsi is more reliable imo, both of my ds lites broke a year after i bought them, i still have my dsi i got 2 years ago (though it needs a new battery and charger)

My friend said 3DS doesn't do much with pokemon so I would go for DSi or any other DS
