It feels wierd when people post their trainer cards and I see no starters in their team.

Because over all starters don't really have the greatest base stats. When i make teams i go by competitive battling and make my team based of stats and focus it around something. Like this is my sandstorm team and in competitive battling (a tournament i had with friends.) it went 20-0 and won me the championship.
I have multiple teams. Its just my sandstorm team is my best. My favorite pokemon is Charizard and i have him on my fire team and my fire team has done very well before. I'm just saying the reason most people don't use starters is because of stats.
The movesets are not for competitive play, I chose them because I like them and seem fine to beat the elite 4
Blastoise: Water Pulse, Hydro Pump, Hydro Cannon, Ice Beam
Charizard: Flamethrower, Fire Blast, Blast Burn, Overheat
Dragonite: Dragon Claw, Dragon Rage, Shock Wave, Flamethrower
Aerodactyle: Aerial Ace, Fly, Ancient Power, Hyper Beam
Gengar: Psychic, Shadow Ball, Shadow Punch, Night Shade
Nidoking: Earthquake, Surf, Megahorn, Horn Attack
Again, I play with favorites, not with which has higher defence sp attack and what not.
