Translation using playstation buttons as reference
the d-pad says "serve"
triangle button says "three"
square says "mouth"
"x" says "Earth"
circle says "yen"
User avatar #22 to #2 - xanthenerrick (07/09/2014) [-]
It's not actually 'earth'. ‘土’ is earth. The bottom line is longer than the top. '士‘ on the other hand has a couple of meanings, depending on which words it is used with (more of a person with certain status). Notice the top line is longer than the bottom.
土:earth
士:soldier/scholar/specialist etc

The circle says 'circle', genius. 円 literally means 'round'.

Don't get all mad at him. It can also mean yen, but it wasn't meant that way in this case...

Now, I'm no expert, but I don't really think that "samurais" is the proper plural. I believe that it is samurai. I think. Not an expert. But Google is.

I... Think that's a PSX/2/3 controller. See the 口 on the left? That 's probably for the square button. 三 is supposed to replace the triangle button, which is especially evident in the top line which is supposed to be as long as the bottom. You guys can probably get the rest.

It can replace a number or a letter just as well. I don't know. I do not speak chinese. But I fail to see any evidence that it was made by Sony so it is probably a custom gamepad with usb plug.

The button where the circle should be literally means "round" and where the X should be looks like a cross it means earth, on an unrelated note . Also, just look at the shape of the controller, too. The handle areas look a lot like a PS controller. The bumpers, too.
User avatar #24 to #20 - emiyashirou (07/09/2014) [-]
Last time this was posted I said this to someone too, but it does not mean earth. There's a difference between 土 and 士. The first is ground/earth, the second (which is on the controller, note the longer top stroke) means gentleman or warrior (It's never used alone as a word so there aren't direct translations, for some examples 剣士 is swordsman and 戦士 is soldier). Also, the kanji on the d-pad is the kanji that is directly samurai.
