If you're gonna get a Floyd Rose, make sure you know everything about it before you get one installed. I know too many people who have gotten one and had no idea how to then take care of their guitar afterwards. If you CAN cope with one, then by all means get one. Just a friendly warning

well i suggest going going with an original floyd rose and not a licensed one you'll be better off in the long run original floyd roses run at US$ 200.00 (originals are 100x better than a licensed copy made with pot metal)

if the body isn't pre-cut then you should get a router template to be sure of the measurements, measure twice cut once

if you don't want to go to the trouble of making all of the routing that a floyd requires
you could get a Kahler bridge which requires less routing with the same abilities as a floyd (some say even better, personally i prefer Kahler over floyd because you don't need to cut the ball ends off the strings and it has a better range in how high/low in pitch you can make the note go with the bar) only thing is a kahler doesn't flutter the cost US$ 369.00 and up for one made in the usa

If have any other questions regarding this matter say so

You could use either the hybrid 7300 or the Pro series 2300

the hybrid 7300 is made in LA, California on a machine

the pro 2300 is hand made in LA, California

Instillation instructions: or You need to login to view this link
Kahler's site:
bridge specs:

You can purchase a Hybrid 7300 at wammi world but for a pro you have to buy through kahler

You also need to buy a locknut

wood work is required
if the body is already routed for a standard strat trem you will need to fill the cavities for the bridge and reroute for the kahler also you need too put metal shims behind current location of the nut on the neck you need to remove the nut that is already on the neck so you can place the new locking nut

routing templates can be downloaded from wammi world along with tech specs etc.

if you have anymore questions fell fee to ask

I may do Kahler now that you've brought it up, i've seen them before cause of their bass trems.

i may get 2 for 2 of my personal guitars later on as well, since i dont need to do routing.
